Noodle Goose started as an answer to a question: What games can we make to help people grow through play, challenge their abilities and connect more deeply with themselves and others?
Co-Founders Karen and Dan established Noodle Goose Games while teaming up to develop games based on the principles of Game-Based Learning. The games were the core activities for a game-based camp for autistic youth. The camp aimed to target goals for communication, leadership and transition to adulthood.
Noodle Goose's mission goes beyond fun. We strive to make games that feel human and purposeful. We also seek to make games that are welcoming and that bring play to a broad spectrum of abilities.
Our values are to have fun, be clever, create boldly and support each other. These values apply within our team, with our clients and with our colleagues in games and partnering industries.

I see making and playing games as an act of magic. All play involves mysterious and supernatural forces… our minds and hearts! I've performed magic as a game show producer, host, and as a registered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Canada since 2012. In my role as an SLP, I've been involved in research on Game-Based Learning, which led to the creation of Noodle Goose in 2025. Since then, I've been striving to create more accessible opportunities for people to discover their own superpowers through play.
My game design and production have been featured in my original game-based speech & language therapy camps and programs, on Rob and Akiva Need a Podcast on the RHAP podcast network, and in several Online Reality Games I've designed and produced for. These include survival games, social deduction games, dating games, creative competitions and contests.
During my free time, you’ll find me hosting experimental social game nights and learning to speak Cantonese to connect with my cultural heritage!

I’ve been obsessed with games since the N64 era and I’ve never really stopped. Over the years, I’ve built a career as a writer, strategy game designer, and award-winning film and TV director, but at my core, I’m just a silly goose who loves loving things. I have a robust background in marketing, creative writing and strategy, which helps me think both creatively and critically when building games and experiences.
For over a decade, I’ve been a lead on Endure, a live reality social deduction game that has challenged more than 500 contestants across 15 seasons and hundreds of hours of content. I’ve always been fascinated by the psychology of games - what makes people tick, bond, turn on each other, and work together - and I bring that same love of complex systems and human behavior to everything we create at Noodle Goose. I'm beyond excited to help bring weird, heartfelt, strategic, unforgettable games into the world with this team.
In my spare time I am playing sports, games and writing stories to keep people smiling.
